Happy New Year 2009
Last day of the year and like most it’s time to wonder… How was 2008? Good/bad things? It’s time to analyse, to learn and remember those lessons.

Already noticed famous Dutch soccerplayers are pretending they can rap? Well, Royston Drenthe and Ryan Babel think they can. When you compare their excellent soccer-skills with their lyrics/flow/rhymes/etc… it cannot get any more diverse. The song “Dom, Lomp, Famous” by The Opposites cannot get a better reference/example then Royston Drenthe & Ryan Babel. Well done, boys!

Audi-drivers are Cocks
According to Jeremy Clarkson (BBC Top Gear), cocks drive in Audi’s (eg., watch a fragment below). He has always thought of BMW as uncool just because cocks drive in them. This year he has seen a turn-around. Cocks have traded (its mostly a company-car, weak) in their BMW for an Audi making Audi, finally, the new ‘cock’-car.

Guitar Hero as Music Marketing Tool
I assume you have heard of the game “Guitar Hero”, if not check its website. Artists, who have added/contributed their music to the game, have seen separate sales of those tracks triple on average. Wow, another example how people’s musical taste can be influenced. It’s nice to see that it doesnot matter that the songs are *not* new.

Warner Music fights YouTube
Warner has announced to stop adding their music videos to YouTube (temporarily). All additions are also being removed. Warner isnot making enough money off the videos through YouTube. They also have their own channel/website which plays music videos but isnot as popular as YouTube (propably never ever will be).
