US economy minus 5,1%
… but it’s still better then expected (5,5%), hehe. This happened in the final three months of 2008, the weakest in 28 years. Overall, the economy has grown just 1.3% in the past year, the weakest growth rate since 2001. So, 2008 still has seen growth which is amazing!
Investments, imports, exports, local governments, etc… have all fallen. All expect spending by the government...

First-born Child, 5th day
January 20th and already four days have gone by of my first-born child’s life. It has been quite a ride with two good night sleeps (out of four).
Everything is going very well. We are very excited and unaccustomed at the same time. It looks like our new routine is taking form which will make it, hopefully, easier.
